My horses Hurricane and Annie are 25 and 22 respectively. Hurricane is pictured on the left, Annie on the right. They have been best friends since I brought Annie home (she was a weanling). They are just like an old married couple. He thinks that he is the boss because she lets him believe that. There have been several times that they have been separated for periods of times (say 6 months or more) because Hurricane was therapeutic horse or was loaned out and when they were put back together they went right back to acting like they had never been apart. They will graze muzzle to muzzle, scratch each other, doze together. They will even share the same feed bucket. I think that when one goes the other will soon follow.
